🌸 Hold Them Close: A Mother's Prayer for Her Child 🌸
![]() |
The bond between a mother and daughter is truly incomparable. |
When your child is in your arms, love them as much as you can.
Even if they break something—don’t scold.
If they don’t want to study—don’t raise your voice.
Just shower them with affection.
Never raise your hand against them.
That sweet little face, those tiny hands
A day will come when those little hands will no longer be within your reach.
Children don’t stay in a mother’s lap forever.
They have their own lives…
Their own dreams to chase…
Their own careers to build.
Some will fly to foreign lands.
Others will settle in distant cities.
And you?
You will remain behind…
In that same home…
In a quiet corner.
Occasionally, a phone call will come.
You’ll hear, “Ammu, are you doing well?”
You’ll reply, “Yes, Ammu. I’m fine.”
But deep inside, a thousand unsaid words will tremble on your tongue.
You won’t be able to say them—
Because they’ll be too busy living life.
Then it will hit you…
When they were in your arms,
Why didn’t you hold them a little longer?
Why did you scold them over little things?
Why did you hit them that day?
You’ll cry for it then.
Your tears will dry out…
But you still won’t be able to hold or kiss them again—
Because now they live millions of miles away.
Never hit your children.
Never say harsh words in anger.
Only make du’a (prayer) for them.
Because—
What they will become was written 50 years ago.
What they will face, where life will take them—
It’s all destiny.
You, dear parent, just say to Allah:
> “Ya Allah, may my child become a good human being.
May they have a beautiful life.
May they live with strong faith and kindness in their heart.”
